Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer service, sales, and salon maintenance in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebooking
- Drive salon sales through recommendations and promotions
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and humane conditions
- Handle check-ins, check-outs, and emergency pet care
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy training. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet-heavy environments.

- Excellent written and verbal communication (experience)
Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including bath, brush, nail trims, teeth brushing
- Engage pet parents to recommend services and merchandise
- Manage check-in/out, reservations, and client records
- Maintain salon cleanliness and pet safety standards
- Assist with sales targets and other store duties as needed
