Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences and upholding top standards for pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This dynamic role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer engagement and sales to drive salon success.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart protocols.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/merchandise, and hit sales targets.
- Handle salon operations: greet clients, manage reservations/check-ins/outs, reminder calls, and records.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, perform daily maintenance, and address pet health issues promptly (including vet transport).
- Assist other store areas, follow policies, and embody PetSmart's values.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion/certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, organize meticulously, and work flexible hours. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-filled, sometimes noisy/wet environment.
