Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds the highest standards of pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This dynamic role combines technical grooming skills with customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart protocols.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and drive sales of merchandise/services to meet targets.
• Handle salon operations: greet clients, manage appointments/check-ins/outs, maintain records, and conduct reminder calls.
• Ensure salon sanitation through daily maintenance and end-of-day cleaning; respond immediately to sick/injured pets.
• Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and contribute to a positive team culture.

Experience & Skills

Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.
