Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This full-time role upholds our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while contributing to salon sales goals and store cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/products to boost sales.
- Handle reservations, check-ins/outs, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Ensure salon sanitation, pet safety; perform daily maintenance and end-of-day cleaning.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist departments, follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, organize meticulously, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling pets in a noisy, wet environment.
