Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This hands-on role combines grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales growth in a dynamic retail environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services.
- Consult with pet parents on health solutions, recommend products, and upsell services to meet sales targets.
- Handle appointments: greetings, check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and pet safety; respond to health issues by transporting to vets if needed.
- Collaborate across departments and participate in company culture initiatives.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, and prioritize safety. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet-heavy, noisy settings with reasonable accommodations available.
