Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This role upholds cleanliness, pet safety, and drives salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement in a fast-paced retail environment.
Essential Physical Demands
Expect to stand, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), handle pets in wet/hairy conditions with moderate to high noise. Flexibility for ladders, stooping, and animal exposure required.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook services.
- Handle check-in/out, phone reservations, and sales register duties.
- Maintain salon sanitation via daily checklists and end-of-day cleaning.
- Identify/report sick pets and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must excel in high-pressure situations, organization, communication, and computer use. Flexible scheduling essential.
