Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. Uphold cleanliness, safety, and company standards while driving salon sales and pet wellness in our Ocean, New Jersey location.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on health solutions, recommend services/merchandise to meet sales goals.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, monitor pet health.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, and contribute to store culture.
Experience & Skills
Required Qualifications
- Prior grooming experience or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification.
- Computer proficiency, strong communication, organizational skills.
- Flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays; composure under pressure.
Physical Demands
Stand/walk extensively, lift 50+ lbs, handle pets in wet/noisy environments with pet hair exposure. Depth perception and team lifting required.
