Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. Uphold cleanliness, safety, and company standards while recommending wellness solutions. This dynamic role combines hands-on grooming with customer engagement in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, manage reservations, conduct check-ins/check-outs, reminder calls, and maintain records.
- Drive salon sales by recommending services/merchandise and achieving productivity targets.
- Ensure salon sanitation, humane pet conditions, and immediate response to sick/injured animals.
- Assist other departments and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Excel in computer use, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organization, detail-oriented safety focus, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
