Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Odessa, Texas location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement to uphold PetSmart's vision and drive salon success.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards, including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and promote merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations: greet clients, manage appointments, check-in/out procedures, reminder calls, and record-keeping.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond immediately to sick/injured pets, including vet transport.
- Support store departments as needed and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as Stylist in Training plus PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate composure under pressure, computer proficiency, flexible scheduling, organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.
