Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds top standards for pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This dynamic role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer service excellence to drive salon success and pet parent satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on needs, recommend wellness solutions, and promote services/merchandise to meet sales goals.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, client records, and rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable salon sanitation, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and embody company values.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion/certification. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, scheduling flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair/wet environment with moderate-high noise and animal exposure.
