Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Oklahoma City, OK location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement and salon management.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and upsell merchandise/services to meet sales targets.
- Handle salon operations: greet clients, manage reservations/check-ins/check-outs, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues including vet transport.
- Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and contribute to store culture.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to wet/hair-filled environments, and animal handling.
