Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds pet health/safety standards. This full-time role in Okotoks involves grooming, customer interactions, salon maintenance, and sales contributions in a dynamic pet environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, and rebookings.
- Drive salon sales through recommendations and promotions to meet targets.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, perform daily/end-of-day maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion/technical evaluation. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include standing, lifting 50+ lbs, working in wet/hairy/noisy areas with animals.
