Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers top-tier salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. Based in Ontario, California, this role upholds PetSmart's vision through expert grooming, safety protocols, and sales excellence in a fast-paced store setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and drive salon sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Ensure salon cleanliness, pet health/safety; respond to emergencies like vet transports.
- Promote merchandise/services and collaborate across departments.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion (6 months training). Must possess computer skills, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational prowess, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
