Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through skilled grooming and customer engagement. Located in Orem, Utah, you'll work in a dynamic environment handling various breeds and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, and rebookings.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond immediately to sick/injured pets.
- Promote sales to meet targets, recommend merchandise, and assist in other store areas as needed.
- Participate in team culture, follow policies, and ensure outstanding pet parent experiences.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, and communicate effectively. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet-heavy environments. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
