Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensures pet safety, and builds lasting pet parent relationships. This full-time role in our Oshawa store demands grooming expertise, customer focus, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic pet environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health solutions, recommend products, and drive salon sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Uphold salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist departments, and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Required Qualifications
- Prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification.
- Strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure.
- Computer proficiency; physical stamina for lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and wet/noisy settings.
