Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds PetSmart's vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while contributing to salon sales goals and store cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per company standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, promote services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, ensure pet safety.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to pets/noise/wet environments.
