Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon management, and sales to drive store success. Ideal for animal lovers who thrive in fast-paced settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on pet needs, recommend wellness products/services, and upsell to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, pet safety, and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues promptly.
- Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and contribute to a culture of belonging.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion (6 months training). Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and organize meticulously. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet hair/wet environments with moderate noise.
