Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This role upholds our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs and recommend solutions.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and rebooking.
• Maintain salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
• Promote sales of merchandise/services to meet targets; assist other departments as needed.
• Respond to pet health issues, including vet transport if required.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Must be computer-proficient, organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive under pressure with flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays). Strong communication, physical stamina (lifting 50+ lbs), and passion for pets essential. Work involves standing, wet environments, pet hair, moderate noise, and animal handling.
