Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This full-time role upholds our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend products/services to meet pet needs and boost sales.
- Handle pet parent interactions: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, sanitation, and pet safety; perform daily/end-of-day maintenance.
- Monitor pet health, transport sick/injured pets to vet; assist other store departments as required.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Proficiency in computers, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong organization, communication, and composure under pressure essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to wet/hair-filled environments and live animals.
