Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon management, and pet safety oversight in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards, including baths, brushes, nail trims, and teeth brushing.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/merchandise, and drive salon sales goals.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
• Uphold salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
• Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all company policies.

Experience & Skills

Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful completion of PetSmart's 6-month Salon Academy training and certification. Must demonstrate composure under pressure, strong communication, organizational skills, and computer proficiency. Physical ability to stand, lift 50+ lbs, and work in a pet-filled environment with flexible scheduling required.
