Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in Pasadena, CA, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness and contribute to sales targets in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on needs, recommend wellness solutions, and upsell merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, client records, and rebooking.
- Maintain salon sanitation, humane conditions, and immediate action for sick/injured pets.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, and participate in recognition culture.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion/certification. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands: lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk extensively, exposure to wet/hair/noise/animals.
