Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds the highest standards of pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This hands-on role in our Penticton store involves full grooming menus, client consultations, and sales contributions in a dynamic pet environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, manage reservations, check-ins/outs, and reminder calls while maintaining client records.
- Recommend wellness solutions, promote services/merchandise to drive salon sales targets.
- Ensure salon sanitation through daily maintenance and end-of-day cleaning checklists.
- Monitor pet health, respond to emergencies by transporting to vets, and assist other departments as needed.
- Follow all policies, embracing our culture of belonging.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must have computer proficiency, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong organization, communication, and ability to lift 50+ lbs in a wet, noisy environment with live animals. Physical demands include standing, stooping, and depth perception.
