Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. Based in Philadelphia, PA, this role upholds our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon sales and maintaining top cleanliness standards. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential in this hands-on position.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, promote services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Manage appointments: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, client records.
- Ensure salon hygiene through daily maintenance and end-of-day cleaning checklists.
- Monitor pet health; transport sick/injured pets to vets as needed and assist other store areas.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion/certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational precision, safety focus, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
