Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services in Philadelphia, PA, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. Uphold company values by prioritizing pet health, safety, and salon excellence while contributing to sales goals and team success.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per standards.
- Recommend wellness solutions and upsell services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Handle pet parent interactions: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, consultations, and rebooking.
- Maintain salon cleanliness via daily checklists; respond to pet health issues including vet transport.
- Assist other departments and follow all policies for a collaborative environment.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification/technical evaluation pass. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair/wet environment with moderate-high noise and live animal exposure.
