Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Phoenix, AZ location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents alike. This role upholds our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while sharing responsibility for salon operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services.
• Consult with pet parents on needs, recommend wellness solutions, and promote merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
• Ensure salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond immediately to sick/injured pets, including vet transport.
• Assist other departments, follow policies, and contribute to a collaborative store environment.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with prior grooming experience or successful completion of PetSmart’s 6-month Stylist in Training program and Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
