Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This full-time role in Phoenix emphasizes grooming expertise, customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales growth while prioritizing pet health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, client records.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues immediately.
- Collaborate across departments and embody PetSmart's values.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program and Salon Academy certification. Must excel in high-pressure environments, possess computer proficiency, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational prowess, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet-heavy, noisy settings.
