Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through exceptional grooming and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, promote services/merchandise to meet sales goals.
• Manage salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, client records.
• Maintain impeccable cleanliness and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues immediately.
• Collaborate across departments and embody our Belonging culture.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling pets in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
