Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) at our Phoenix location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents alike. This role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon management, and sales to uphold PetSmart's vision of exceptional pet care.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care following PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and upsell merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations including greetings, reservations, check-ins/check-outs, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond immediately to pet health issues, including vet transport.
- Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and contribute to a culture of recognition.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must excel in high-pressure environments, possess computer proficiency, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet-heavy, noisy settings. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays required.
