Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog and/or Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring every pet leaves looking and feeling their best. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service, salon operations, and sales to drive business success while prioritizing pet health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards, including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs and recommend add-on services/products.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues immediately.
- Boost sales through merchandising and achieving salon metrics; assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy (6 months Stylist in Training). Must excel in high-pressure environments, possess computer proficiency, organizational skills, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled, sometimes noisy/wet space.
