Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Pittsburgh, PA location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats, ensure pet health and safety, and provide exceptional pet parent experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer service and sales to drive salon success.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, promote services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Manage appointments: greetings, check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, client records.
- Maintain salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues.
- Assist other departments and uphold company policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Proficiency in computers, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong organization, communication, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to pets/noise/wet environments.
