Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Plano, Texas location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness and contribute to sales targets in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, manage appointments, check-ins/check-outs, and reminder calls.
- Recommend wellness solutions, merchandise, and services to boost sales and client satisfaction.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, and respond to pet health issues.
- Assist other departments and uphold company policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet hair/wet environments with live animals.
