Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds the highest standards of pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This dynamic role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart protocols.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend services/merchandise to boost sales and pet health.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond swiftly to pet health issues, assist departments, and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and work flexible schedules including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and handling pets in a noisy, wet environment.
