Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Plymouth, MA location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional customer experiences. This role demands independence, composure under pressure, and passion for pet care in a fast-paced retail environment.
Essential Physical Demands
Expect to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift over 100 lbs), stoop, kneel, and work in a wet, pet-hair-filled space with moderate to high noise. Depth perception and animal handling are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on services, recommend wellness solutions, and drive sales.
- Handle reservations, check-ins, check-outs, reminder calls, and rebooking.
- Maintain salon cleanliness via daily checklists and respond to pet health issues.
- Follow all policies, assist other departments, and contribute to salon metrics.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Strong communication, organization, computer skills, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays essential. Uphold safety and composure in dynamic settings.

- Promote salon sales targets and assist in other store departments as needed
