Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in Plymouth Meeting, PA, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness and contribute to sales goals in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, and rebookings.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health issues.
- Drive sales through recommendations, merchandise promotion, and achieving salon metrics.
- Assist other departments and uphold company policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to pets/hair/noise.
