Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist), you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer service in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook appointments
- Handle check-in/out procedures, salon maintenance, and sales promotion
- Respond to pet health issues and maintain humane conditions
- Assist in other store departments and follow all policies
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets, water, and noise.

- Excellent written and verbal communication (experience)
Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing
- Engage pet parents to recommend services and products
- Manage check-in/out, reservations, and client records
- Maintain salon cleanliness and pet safety standards
- Promote salon sales and assist other departments as needed
