Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. You'll perform grooming, maintain salon standards, promote sales, and prioritize pet health/safety in a fast-paced store setting. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand/walk extensively, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), handle pets in wet/hairy environments with moderate-high noise. Depth perception required; reasonable accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu and standalone services per standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook appointments.
- Drive salon metrics through merchandising sales and promotions.
- Ensure salon cleanliness via daily maintenance checklists.
- Respond to pet health issues and assist across departments.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming or PetSmart Salon Academy certification required. Excel in customer service, organization, communication, and composure under pressure. Computer proficiency and safety focus mandatory.

Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including bath, brush, nail trims, teeth brushing per PetSmart standards
- Engage pet parents to recommend services and merchandise, drive salon sales
- Manage check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, and client records
- Maintain salon cleanliness, pet safety, and report sick/injured pets
- Assist other departments and uphold company policies
