Role Overview
PetSmart’s Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds top standards for pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This dynamic role combines technical grooming skills with customer service excellence to drive salon success.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Recommend wellness solutions, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, and client records.
- Promote sales, greet clients, and achieve salon metrics.
- Maintain impeccable salon sanitation and respond to pet health issues.
- Participate in team culture and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must have strong communication, organizational skills, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, physical stamina for lifting 50+ lbs, and composure under pressure. Proficiency in computers essential; pet handling experience a plus.

- Ability to remain composed under pressure (experience)
Responsibilities

- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness recommendations and services
- Manage salon check-in/out, reservations, and client communications
- Maintain salon cleanliness, pet safety, and end-of-day protocols
- Drive salon sales through merchandise recommendations and promotions
- Assist with sick/injured pets and inter-departmental support
