Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensures pet safety, and builds lasting pet parent relationships. This hands-on role in our Prince George store combines technical grooming skills with outstanding customer service in a fast-paced pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs and recommend solutions.
- Manage salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-ins/outs, reminder calls, client records.
- Drive sales through merchandise and service promotions to meet targets.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond to pet health issues, transport to vet if needed, and support other store departments.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong organization, safety focus, and clear communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
