Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. Uphold cleanliness, pet health/safety standards, and drive salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage reservations, check-ins/outs, and reminder calls.
- Promote sales of merchandise/services to hit targets; maintain salon hygiene via daily/end-of-day cleaning.
- Monitor pet health, transport sick/injured pets to vets; assist other departments as needed.
- Follow all policies, participate in team culture.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification/technical evaluation pass. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands: lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk extensively, work in wet/noisy/pet-heavy settings with depth perception required.
