Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and owners. This full-time role in our Prosper store emphasizes grooming expertise, customer engagement, and salon operations while upholding safety and cleanliness standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend services/merchandise to boost sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, monitor pet health/safety.
- Respond to sick/injured pets, assist other departments, follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy, wet environment with live animals.
