Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services while ensuring pet health, safety, and positive experiences. This role involves grooming expertise, customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales growth in a fast-paced retail environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), work in wet/hairy conditions with moderate to high noise. Exposure to live animals is daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook services.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, and salon promotions.
- Maintain cleanliness and report sick/injured pets immediately.
- Assist other departments and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy. Strong communication, organization, composure under pressure, and computer proficiency. Passion for pets and safety focus essential.
