Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring pet health, safety, and parent satisfaction. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend products/services, and manage appointments.
- Uphold salon hygiene via daily maintenance and end-of-day checklists; respond to pet health issues.
- Drive sales targets through merchandising, rebooking, and positive pet parent experiences.
- Collaborate across departments while following all policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Must excel in high-pressure settings, possess computer proficiency, strong communication, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs in a pet-filled workspace. Flexible scheduling required.

- Excellent written and verbal communication (experience)
Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards
- Engage pet parents to recommend services and products while managing check-in/out procedures
- Maintain salon cleanliness, pet safety, and handle sick/injured pets immediately
- Drive salon sales through promotions and rebooking appointments
- Assist other departments and uphold company policies
