Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This role upholds cleanliness, safety standards, and drives salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement in our Raleigh location.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart protocols.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and upsell services/merchandise to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, client records, reminder calls, and rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Monitor pet health; transport sick/injured pets to vets and assist other store departments as required.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months in PetSmart's Stylist in Training program plus Salon Academy certification. Must excel in high-pressure settings, possess computer skills, organizational prowess, strong communication, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a wet, noisy, pet-filled space.
