Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds top standards for pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This full-time role in Rancho Cordova offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with opportunities to advance through PetSmart's Salon Academy and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, and reminder calls.
- Drive salon sales by recommending services/merchandise and achieving productivity targets.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond to pet health issues, transport to vets if needed, and support store-wide operations.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion/certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational precision, safety focus, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
