Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This full-time role upholds our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon sales and maintaining top cleanliness standards in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart protocols.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and promote merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations: greet clients, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, records, and reminder calls.
- Ensure salon hygiene through daily maintenance, end-of-day cleaning, and humane pet handling.
- Respond urgently to pet health issues, assist departments, and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months in PetSmart's Stylist in Training program plus Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and commit to flexible scheduling including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet hair/wet environments.
