Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds pet health/safety standards. This full-time role in our Red Deer store involves grooming, customer service, sales, and salon maintenance in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on needs, recommend wellness solutions, and promote merchandise/services to meet sales targets.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records; greet and assist customers in-person/phone/register.
• Maintain salon cleanliness/sanitation via daily checklists; respond to sick/injured pets and assist other departments as needed.
• Follow company policies, participate in recognition culture.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy completion/safety certification. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety/detail, strong communication. Physical demands: lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk extensively, work in wet/noisy environment with animals.
