Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensures pet safety, and delights pet parents. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs and recommend solutions
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, and rebooking
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues
- Drive sales through merchandising and service promotions
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Must thrive under pressure, communicate effectively, and lift up to 50lbs. Flexibility for evenings/weekends required. Physical demands include standing, bending, and animal handling in a dynamic salon setting.

Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care
- Engage pet parents to recommend services and products
- Manage check-in/out, reservations, and client communications
- Maintain salon cleanliness and pet safety standards
- Drive salon sales and achieve productivity targets
