Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This hands-on role demands grooming expertise, customer focus, and commitment to cleanliness, safety, and sales goals in a fast-paced store setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness needs and recommend solutions.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and rebooking.
- Drive salon sales through merchandise/service promotion to meet targets.
- Maintain impeccable salon sanitation; respond to pet health issues promptly.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and handling animals in a noisy, wet environment.
