Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog and/or Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer service, salon management, and sales to uphold our vision of pet health and happiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards, including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and promote merchandise to meet sales goals.
- Handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Ensure salon cleanliness, pet safety, and immediate response to health issues, including vet transport if needed.
- Participate in store-wide support and foster a culture of recognition.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet-heavy environments.
