Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales growth. Located in Richfield, Minnesota, you'll work in a dynamic environment handling various pets while upholding the highest safety and cleanliness standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards, including baths, brushes, nail trims, and teeth brushing.
- Engage pet parents to recommend wellness solutions, manage appointments, and drive salon sales targets.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, perform daily cleaning, and respond to pet health issues promptly.
- Handle check-ins/outs, client consultations, reminder calls, and rebooking to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate across departments and participate in PetSmart's recognition culture.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have prior grooming experience or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Salon Academy with safety certification. Proficiency in computers, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and strong communication/organizational skills are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet hair-filled, noisy environments with live animals.
